Taking ACtion: Affirmative Consent

More often than not, the most powerful stories come straight from the people who are most impacted. That’s why we’re so excited to share a recent project, Taking ACtion, for Women’s Health in the North. This project engages young people (aged 14-25) to learn about the critical topic of affirmative consent.

In the wake of recent legislative changes that require clear, enthusiastic consent before intimacy, it’s more important than ever that young people understand their rights, boundaries, and responsibilities. But often, conversations around consent can feel distant or disconnected from their lived experiences. And let’s face it, can be a little awkward too - especially with family. Taking ACtion helps to break down the stigma and facilitates conversation on these essential social issues.
